SOCIAL JUSTICE

The World Health Organization defines health as β€œthe state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”

SALUD embraces that definition, understanding that to care for the social well-being of a community will, undoubtedly, land you on the doorstep of social justice issues like food security, refugee crisis, healthcare, equality, immigration reform, LGBTQIA+ inclusivity, etc.

We are committed to not only learn about those issues that impact our community, but to work collaboratively with others in a non-partisan way to bring about awareness and change.

SALUD also collaborates with Iowa Migrant Movement for Justice in providing monthly immigration clinics in Storm Lake, IA.
